For CPN Nannies

Please ensure that you meet the following list of requirements before applying to become a CPN Nanny or Childcare Professional candidate for Capitol Park Nannies & Staffing.

Nanny & Childcare Professional Requirements & Screening
Interest/Personality Alignment CPN childcare professionals have a genuine love of children, common sense, strong communication skills, the ability and desire to commit long-term, and a willingness to respectfully work with parents as a team. CPN childcare professionals are characterized as hard-working, considerate, and lovingly patient. We specifically look for alignment with these traits and values for potential CPN professional candidates.
Reference Screen We conduct a detailed check of a minimum of three (3) professional references, (which are provided to the hiring family for review as well)
Work Experience We differentiate the best childcare professionals by the standards of professional experience we hold them to. Some agencies and providers claim higher years of service requirements but include non-professional experience such as babysitting which lacks both the higher standards of quality and the assurance of experience in a regulated field. We require a minimum of 3 years of professional childcare experience after graduation from high-school. Professional experience includes professional nanny positions, work in the education field, pediatrics, nursing daycare services, and others.
Minimum Age All CPN professionals must be at least 20 years of age or older in order to be considered for any position. As with our professional standards, CPN childcare professionals are a more mature class of professionals based on our minimum standards for work experience, education, etc.
Work Legality Screen All CPN childcare professionals require a verified Social Security check and our verification that they are legally able to work in the United States.
Education Screen Education (and honesty in our candidate resumes) are an important value of CPN.  We review the education background and verify all listed institutions you’ve attended prior to qualifying for a position.
Trustline Registration Screen All CPN childcare professionals must be verified as registered with Trustline (*as required by California State law for all Nanny Agencies referring candidates).

*Note that applicants do not have to be Trustline registered to apply or sign on with CPN.  If you are not already Trustline registered, we will both guide you through the registration process and cover the cost of it.

We verify your complete and current Newborn Care Specialist certification before we can qualify you for a NCS position.
