After long months of darkness, both daylight savings time and spring are on their way. While many places are still lockdown or have restrictions, there are plenty of socially distanced activities you, your families, and your kids can do to welcome in spring!

Here are some ideas!

  • Fly a kite
  • Create a play garden or a real one
  • Paint flower pots and then plant flowers or succulents in them
  • Go on a flower hunt

  • Paint spring pictures
  • Make finger print bunnies
    • Messy but lots of fun! Use your thumb print, dipped in paint for the head, and your other finger prints to form the rest of the body for your bunny family keepsake.
  • Go on a ladybug hunt
  • Ready The Very Hungry Caterpillar and make an edible caterpillar for lunch
    • You will need some grapes or apple slices to make the body, a cherry tomato or strawberry slice for its face, and either edible googly eyes or raisins for the eyes.

  • Blow bubbles
  • Try potato stamping
  • Make a spring sensory bin
  • Read springtime books like When Spring Comes, Spring is Here, and Everything Spring
