Such an exciting month as we celebrate being in business for nine years! Nine years have passed us here at Capitol Park Nannies + Staffing and we have a lot to share. I, Rachel, the owner, and operator of CPN would love to fill you in and reflect on the last nine years of being in business.

In case you didn’t know I was a career nanny for ten years. I decided to open my own agency in Sacramento to help families and nannies. I founded this agency on integrity, passion, and good intentions. Being a mother myself, I am fully committed to placing families with expert childcare professionals. I personally oversee and manage all aspects of the agency to continually ensure quality. In my free time, I love to hike, travel, and enjoy spending time with my family!

What have the last nine years mean to me with this agency?

It’s been extremely rewarding that I’ve continued to help find a nanny for my clients continuously. It’s also been exciting to see the positive effect we’ve had on the nanny industry here in Sacramento, actually for both sides- the nanny and the family. We strive for professionalism and respectful placements that have both in mind. How rewarding to have families time and time again to trust us and hire us.

What has been the best part of the last nine years?

There are so many amazing parts of this journey but I’d have to say the very best part is all the wonderful friendships and connections I’ve made.

How does it feels once you match a nanny with a family and it’s the perfect match?

Extremely rewarding! I have the opportunity to help make a difference in a family’s (and even a nanny’s) life. Family’s make one of the most important hires when they hire a nanny or staffer and they entrust us to find the very best person to take great care of their children while they are able to do what they need to do in their careers is something that is not taken lightly. I am thrilled when all things work out and the children, family, and nanny are happy!

What has been one of the hardest things about owning this agency for the last nine years?

Not being to help everyone. I wish I could help everyone but sometimes there are other factors that can affect whether or not I can help someone. For example, some clients want specific experience, and if a nanny does not have that I’m not able to help that nanny with that placement and that’s the hard part. I want to help everyone- nannies and clients.

What has been the hardest thing to keep up with as an agency in these times?

Finding nannies at times. These individuals had to care for other members of their household and/or stay at home for various reasons so it’s been a bit more challenging to find placements in the timeframe I’d like. We are very selective over who we select so that can definitely be harder during these times we’ve faced the last six months.

What has been something positive that you have faced through the pandemic?

I have noticed that most people are more empathetic, kind, realistic with the entire process. There is more of an understanding of the process and people are connecting more on a very human level even more so now.

What has been the biggest achievement in the agency?

I built this agency on integrity, diversity, and honestly and I’m very proud that we have achieved that goal and for what we stand for. That to me is the biggest achievement of all!

Where do you see the agency in the next nine years?

Growing even more than it has! Likely servicing more locations and offering more services too!
I just want to personally thank each and every person that has been involved through this process and made this possible. I also can’t thank the families that have entrusted us for all these years and continue to refer us. Thank you also goes to all of the amazing nannies and household employees that have found their dream positions and made a difference in a child’s life and household. I appreciate everyone that has helped me along the way and I’m excited for the next nine years!
