This position is not a traditional long-term nanny role (yet). The family needs reliable and steady support now through the end of April, making this role approximately three months long. February will be lighter month with family support already in place on the weekends, while March and April will be much busier, requiring care often 6 days per week, including Friday evenings and weekends. There is also a possibility of travel with mom to away games once trust is established.
Care will be primarily based in the family’s home in Elk Grove, with a focus on creating a consistent, nurturing routine and supporting their baby’s growth and development. From time to time, the family would love for the nanny to bring the baby along to a nearby practice or game for a change of scenery and some fun, but the heart of the role is steady, in-home infant care. This role has the potential to become a long term W2 position should it end up being a good fit, however the ongoing schedule past April is unclear at this time.
The family lives in a highly walkable area, right next to Elk Grove park. The nanny can enjoy walks around the area and to the park for fun in the sun. Potentially driving baby to nearby story time or activity once trust is established. They have a sweet and energetic bernadoodle. They would prefer a nanny who is familiar and comfortable with dogs, but pet care is not required. They have cameras in the main living areas and babies room for safety. Both parents work outside of the home at various locations around Sacramento (and sometimes out of state).
This position is ideal for a flexible, confident nanny who enjoys working with babies and thrives in an energetic, sports-oriented environment. The family’s schedule naturally ebbs and flows with the season, making this a great fit for someone who is adaptable, upbeat, and open to occasional travel and working weekends as things evolve. A nanny who enjoys being on the go, brings a positive attitude, and is excited to potentially grow with a family over time will feel right at home here.
The family is hoping to find someone who is:
Due to the temporary nature of this role, no benefits are offered. However, the family will do their best to honor the hours that are scheduled and to give advanced notice of any changes.
Should this end up being a long term fit, after the 90 days it would transition into a W2 contracted position with PTO, Sick Time, and Guaranteed Hours.
