Description
A wonderful family in East Sacramento is looking for a warm, experienced nanny to care for their sweet little girl, who will be just about three years old when the position begins. Their current nanny, who they hired through Capitol Park Nannies, has been a beloved part of their family for some time, but she is sadly moving out of state. They are hoping to find someone new to step into this special role starting in mid-to-late May.
Their ideal nanny has several years experience working with toddlers and can plan and execute fun and engaging days that foster growth and development for their daughter. They would like a nanny that is engaging, thoughtful, interactive, encouraging, warm, and happy to help where needed. House work is not required but they would appreciate someone who keeps the environment safe and clean. They would however like help prepping snacks and food for their daughter on a regular basis. Someone reliable and communicative is important since both parents work and can't always be available. They encourage the nanny to take their daughter to fun activities around town such as the zoo, library, and classes. The family will provide a vehicle for outings to the library or other activities, but it would be preferable if the nanny had their own car to use on occasion if needed.
The family will guarantee  40 hours a week but are hoping the nanny can work more hours on occasion, anything over 40 is overtime pay. Since there can occasionally be longer hours a nanny that has good energy, likes to stay busy, and is willing to work extra hours is important. The family would appreciate some date nights or overnights when dad is out of town and mom is on call as well.
The family has one small friendly dog that loves to join on walks if the nanny would like. They are a no screen house and low to no sugar as well. They do not consume pork products but they are happy to provide the nanny with food of their liking at any time. These amazing employers who provide a safe and open environment for both family and nanny to thrive. There is a slight chance their daughter will start very part-time daycare later in the year, which could potentially affect the schedule, but nothing is certain yet. Responsibilities
- Focused Care on 3 Year old
- Maintaining a regular daily schedule.
- Meal prepping healthy snack and meals for toddler.
- Keeping children areas neat and tidy (if there is time).
- Planning and enacting fun and engaging activities such as crafts and sensory activities.
- Driving to fun places and activities, such as the zoo or story time.
- Occasional date nights and overnights.
- Willingness to care for toddler if she is mildly ill (nothing severe like covid or stomach flu)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 Years experience working with  toddlers.
- TDAP, TB, Covid, and Flu Required.
- One year minimum commitment.
- Ability to arrive on time to work (reliable vehicle)
Job Benefits
- 40 Hours a week Guaranteed (Hours worked will typically be around 45-50, Â the extra hours are overtime pay
