Position title
Experienced Newborn Care Specialist Needed for 8-12 Weeks Starting March. Incline Village Tahoe (Job ID #2559271)
Description

A wonderful family in North Lake Tahoe (Incline Village) is seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to support them with their second child, due mid-March 2025. They would love to begin care as soon as they return home from the hospital Please keep in mind baby might be born a week or two early. Due to the location and snow, the family will provide the NCS an Airbnb a few minutes away.

The ideal candidate will be patient, warm, and collaborative—someone who can offer expert newborn care while also working alongside the parents to establish a gentle routine. Their primary goal is to develop healthy sleep habits, with a focus on reducing night wakings over time.

The family is seeking coverage for five nights per week (7 PM - 7 AM), with the possibility of adding a sixth night by slightly adjusting shift lengths if needed. The contract will be for 8-12 weeks, with flexibility to adjust based on how their baby progresses. The NCS will have a bed in the nursery for resting between infant care duties and access to a shared bathroom (rarely used by others). They are open to a combination of breastfeeding and formula feeding, so experience with both is a plus.

This family had a previous experience with an NCS  and are looking forward to working with one again. Since this is their second child they are not looking for education/coaching but rather support and care to get their precious new addition healthy and sleeping well. They are seeking someone who is knowledgeable yet adaptable, providing guidance while also respecting their parenting preferences.

• Establishing and maintaining healthy sleep routines
• Feeding support (bottle prep, sanitizing, tracking feedings)
• Tracking sleep, feedings, and diaper changes in an app or journal

• 3+ years of experience working with newborns
