Position title
Temporary Part-Time Newborn Nanny Needed ASAP in Land Park (Job ID# 3526594 )
Description

A sweet family of four in Midtown Sacramento is seeking a caring and experienced part-time nanny to care for their 2-month-old baby girl while mom works from home. This is a 90-day temporary position with the possibility to expand into a longer-term role depending on family needs.

The Ideal Nanny:

You’re warm, calm, and highly in-tune with the needs of newborns. You’re able to recognize physical and emotional cues and feel confident managing feedings, naps, and gentle stimulation. You’re familiar with developmental milestones and know how to support a baby’s growth through activities like tummy time, fresh air, and responsive caregiving.

This kind and thoughtful family lives in Midtown Sacramento and is looking for a nurturing nanny to care for their 2-month-old baby while mom transitions back to part-time work. Mom primarily works from home and will be present most days, though she may occasionally step out for errands. The household includes a gentle and sleepy 13-year-old dog who mostly keeps to himself.

Their older daughter, age 3, attends daycare and is not expected to be home during nanny hours—though there may be occasional overlap if daycare is closed or hours expand though so the nanny needs to be able to handle that as well. The family is non-smoking and values health and safety, especially since their older daughter has mild asthma. They’re seeking someone who is vaccinated for COVID-19, TDAP, and TB. They’re warm, communicative, and focused on creating a calm, respectful home environment.

Responsibilities
  • Following and supporting baby’s feeding and nap schedule
  • Engaging baby in age-appropriate activities (tummy time, walks, visual and auditory stimulation)
  • Diaper changes and soothing as needed
  • Washing, sanitizing, and organizing pump and bottle parts
  • Baby laundry: wash, fold, and put away
  • Tidying up baby-related areas and supplies
  • Occasional errands or light tasks if mom steps out
  • Optional help with morning prep or very occasional date nights
Qualifications

•At least 2 years of working with babies and small children.

•Knowledge of newborn care such as bottle feeding techniques, maintaining sleep routines, and encouraging developmental milestones.

•Clean driving record and reliable vehicle with full coverage insurance.

•Current TDAP vaccination, as well as a recent clear TB test.

•Strong communicator and a team player who values a supportive family dynamic.

•Comfortable with a dog around.

Job Benefits

This is a temporary position, therefore there are no benefit packages available.
