A warm and loving family in El Dorado Hills is seeking a full-time nanny to provide excellent care for their baby who will be around 7 months at the time the position begins. As well as after school care for their 4 year old starting in August 2025 when he begins kindergarten. This is a long-term position for a professional nanny passionate about early childhood development and creating a safe, structured, and engaging environment.
The role involves fostering the baby’s growth and development through attentive care, baby-led weaning when the time is right, and age-appropriate activities. Once the older child starts kindergarten, the nanny will assist with school pick-ups, provide after-school care, and support the transition to a new routine. The first 6 months or so of the position their oldest will be in preschool full time and will require almost no care. Once the care transitions to two children the family can raise the pay rate by a couple of dollars since the responsibilities will increase at that time.
While the position primarily focuses on childcare, the family appreciates a nanny who takes initiative to help as needed, such as tidying up children’s spaces or ensuring their schedules run smoothly. The family values open communication, reliability, and proactive problem-solving. They are looking for someone who can create a balance between structured routines and flexibility to meet the children’s individual needs. This position offers a collaborative and supportive work environment. Both parents work from home in separate offices but respect the nanny’s autonomy in managing day-to-day responsibilities.
Occasional opportunities for evening or overnight care may arise but are not required. The nanny will be welcome to drive their children to fun activities in the area once trust has been established. The nanny will need to have their own reliable vehicle and the family will provide mileage reimbursement and car seats. Their is one friendly 50lb dog that will not need any care.
